This page describes a step-by-step installation of SAP GUI 760 and the BEx Frontend inlcuding the BEx Applications and the Precalculation Server.

I am trying to install the Sap Gui 7.50 for Mac. But I seem unable to find any usable documentation. WHen I install sap gui it refers to the chapter 5.1 (see below) I am looking for a step by step guide to set this up on a mac, as there have been some changes. Mac OS X 10.8 or higher; Ensure that you have Administrator privileges on the system. Ensure that you have 350 MB free on your computer's hard drive. If you are logged into SAPgui, log off and 'Quit' the SAPgui application. If you have an SAP folder on your hard drive within the Applications folder, make a note of the name of the folder. Download and unzip SAP GUI: SAP GUI. In SAPGUI7.50WINDOWS SAPGUI7.50WINDOWS WIN32, choose SetupALL.exe. Click on Next: Step 4. Select the options and click on Next: Step 5. Click on Next: Step 6. Download and unzip SAP GUI PATCH: SAP GUI PATCH. Double-click on file gui7503-80001468.exe.

• Windows Vista
• Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10

Supported Microsoft Office:

• only 32 Bit Office versions for the BEx tools, see note 1995532.
• Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016

Download mci drivers for windows 8. .NET Framework

• Versions 3.0, 4.0, 4.5 and 4.6 are supported
• Version 2.0 is mandatory and should be installed along with a newer version

Its strongly recommended to use the latest patches of SAP GUI and the BEx Frontend, here is why:

2 - Downloading the installation files:

1. Download the SAP GUI 7.60 Compilation 1 Presentation DVD from the SAP Service Market Place:

3. Download the BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.60 latest patch (also called Business Explorer, BI Components, Frontend Patch or FEP). See step 2 on wiki page: Current BI ADDON for SAP GUI 760
4. only on Precalculation Server: Download the Precalculation Server latest patch See step 3 on wiki page: Current BI ADDON for SAP GUI 760

3 - (Re)installation steps:

1. uninstall the Frontend and SAP GUI
   Windows > Start > Control Panel > Program and Features > Uninstall the following
   - SAP BW Preclaculation Service (only on Precalculation Server)
   - SAP Business Explorer
   - SAP GUI for Windows
2. make sure that these folders are deleted:
   - C:Program Files (x86)SAPBusiness ExplorerBI
   - C:Program Files (x86)SAPBusiness ExplorerBI_Prec (only on Precalculation Server)
   - C:Program Files (x86)SAPFrontEndBw
   - C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesSAP SharedBW
3. start the Front-End Installer from the Frontend-DVD:
   • Extract the SAPGUI 760 Core Frontend-DVD ZIP file: 50148617_6.zip
   • Run: .BD_NW_7.0_Presentation_7.60_Comp._1_PRES1GUIWINDOWSWin32SetupAll.exe
   • select/install .
     [x] SAP GUI for Windows 7.60 (Compilation 1)
     [x] Business Explorer
4. start the latest SAP GUI patch installer: GUI760_(.)exe
5. start the latest SAP BI Addon patch installer: BIADDON760SP(.)exe
6. only for Precalculation Server: start the latest SAP BW Precalculation patch installer: BIPRECAL760SP(.)exe
